about
I studied computer science (Informationstechnologie) at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur (Switzerland) and finished with as a graduate engineer (Dipl. Ing. FH) in October 2008. You can find the abstract of my diploma thesis at the university's website (german only). You can find some material related to my studies on zhw.distanz.ch. I'm still a member of the local campus LUG, the ZHAW-LUG, where I maintain the Wiki/Website and was responsible for the 2007 Distro-Bash (german only).
projects
I'm working on and contributing to several Free Software projects, including the following:
- inotail – inotify enhanced tail (author and maintainer)
- Debian – Maintainer (packages overview)
- The Linux Kernel in the following areas:
- Linux for the Nios II Processor
- Kernel Janitors – Fixing, reviewing and cleaning up code in the Linux kernel
- uClibc – Nios2 porting work
- grml – A Live-CD based on Debian GNU/Linux, containing lots of useful texttools
- symlink.ch – A community newsticker in german
Additionally I contributed patches, documentation and feedback to various other projects.
